Being kidnapped and taken hostage is horrific. I know that because I have experienced it myself. But unlike the children, I was an adult and I was not abused or trafficked.. I cannot imagine how afraid they must be. But after travelling to the program countries myself, I am also feeling proud by how empowered these children have become. I expected them to be more afraid of men, because men raped them day in-day out. But this was not the case, they trusted me and showed me around their shelter. Seeing with your own eyes how children will take a second chance when given to them, is one of the most inspiring things to me. I feel it is my privilege and duty to help provide a second chance to as many children as possible. I will do everything I can to make sure that these children get this second chance. You can be the key and their solution.
