Survivor empowerment.

Children who have endured exploitation face deep physical and emotional wounds. Without support, these scars can shape their entire future. That’s why we focus on empowerment—because healing is not just about survival, but about reclaiming their strength, identity, and dreams.

A safe environment is the foundation for recovery, but true transformation happens when children regain their confidence and see their own potential. When they heal, they don’t just rebuild their own lives; they become role models who inspire change in their communities. By empowering them, we break the cycle of exploitation and create a future where no child has to endure the same suffering.

Every child has the right to a future filled with hope. With the right support, they don’t remain victims—they become the change-makers of tomorrow.

Rehabilitation

After being rescued from sexual exploitation, survivors receive shelter, psychological support, medical care, and empowerment training, with a focus on reintegration into safe family environments whenever possible or, alternatively, access to education, vocational training, and life skills programs to rebuild their future with confidence and resilience.

Reintegration

Reintegration is crucial for survivors, as stigma can lead to rejection. Free a Girl aids this process by providing education, vocational training, and awareness programs on trafficking, offering three years of support to help survivors achieve independence and stability.

Educate the leaders of tomorrow, change the system today.

Special program School for Justice

The School for Justice is a groundbreaking program that empowers survivors of child sexual exploitation to become agents of change. By providing education, legal knowledge, and advocacy training, the program helps survivors reclaim their futures while challenging the systems that enable exploitation.

Why the School for Justice

Many survivors face extreme stigma, social exclusion, and a legal system that often fails to protect them. Many are denied education, support, and the ability to seek justice. The School for Justice addresses these barriers by equipping survivors with the tools to fight for their rights and fight the system of impunity from within.  By supporting this program, you help survivors turn their experiences into a force for change, ensuring that more children are protected, heard, and empowered to reclaim their futures.

A path to justice and empowerment

The program is built on five key pillars that support survivors in their journey toward independence and leadership:

  • Education – Survivors enroll in higher education programs in fields such as law, journalism, social work, and cybercrime, preparing them to influence legal and societal change.
  • Empowerment – Participants receive psychological support, leadership training, and digital skills to help them rebuild confidence and find their voice.
  • Change Agency – Students engage in advocacy, awareness campaigns, and policy work to educate communities and drive legal reforms.
  • Access to Justice – Survivors learn about child rights, legal processes, and victim advocacy, ensuring they can navigate and influence the justice system.
  • Family and community support – Families are involved in the rehabilitation process, creating a strong foundation for survivors to reintegrate and thrive.

The impact

The School for Justice operates in India, Nepal, and Brazil, providing survivors with the opportunity to rebuild their lives and contribute to a safer future for others. Graduates go on to become lawyers, journalists, social workers, and activists, using their experiences to drive systemic change.
